House Select Committee on COVID-19 will Hold Open Discussion with Governor David Ige Oct. 26

WHAT: Bi-weekly Informational Briefing on the economic impact of COVID-19 in Hawaiʻi

Honolulu, Hawaiʻi – The House Select Committee on COVID-19 Economic and Financial Preparedness Oct. 26 Informational Briefing will include an open discussion with Governor David Ige and hear reports from the following subcommittees:

  • Hawaiʻi’s Economy, Carl Bonham, Executive Director of the University of Hawaiʻi Economic Research Organization (UHERO)

  • Communications and Strategy, Ray Vara, President and Chief Executive Officer of Hawai‘i Pacific Health

To comply with restrictions to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, the briefing will be held remotely via public television and streaming online. No public testimony will be accepted.

The briefing will be televised live on ‘Olelo channel 49 and will be sent out live for pick up by neighbor island public access channels. The briefing can also be watched live online at https://olelo.org/ or on the House webcast page http://olelo.granicus.com/ViewPublisher.php?view_id=31.
