Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital Updating its Master Plan

Virtual meeting to be held on February 3, 2022

Kapaʻa, Hawaiʻi - The Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital is updating its master plan to incorporate:

• Community needs and desires for the area

• Expansion of health care services

• Greater integration of the adjacent State parcels—from the boardwalk to Kapaʻa Elementary and High School.

A community kick-off meeting will be held virtually on Thursday, February 3rd, 2022 at 5:30PM – 7:30PM.

Community members can visit the project website at www.planmahelona.com to register for the meeting, learn more about the project, and use the interactive map to share their thoughts about the campus and surrounding area.

“This community meeting kicks off the next phase of work in the Mahelona Master Planning process. We hope residents, especially those living in the vicinity of Mahelona Hospital, will participate in this virtual meeting,” said Rep. Nadine K. Nakamura (House District 14 – Hanalei, Princeville, Kīlauea, Anahola, Kapaʻa, Wailua).
